It has been said that dance is a synthesis of all arts, because it expresses movements, sounds, shapes, colors, emotions, feelings and everything that gives rise to the experience of aesthetic enjoyment.
In addition to this, it can be said of Classical Indian Dances that they are a compendium of the most genuine traditions of the ancient civilization to which they belong, given that these are important facets of the arts, philosophy, religion and other vital aspects of life in this region of the world.
This art has been preserved for over 2000 years, and it’s no surprise that Classical Indian Dance is considered asone of the earliest dance forms, having exerted a powerful influence throughout Asia and around the globe.
The spirit of India is so fully manifested in itsclassical dance, that through them, you perceives the glittering world of this culture’sthoughts, feelings and wisdom.
